Today, my parents made the difficult decision, to put their beloved dog, Roxy, to sleep. Roxy was 13 years old and had some medical conditions. She was the sweetest, funniest, dog ever! She thought she was a human, and had her own seat at my parents' dinner table. She was full of kisses, and was SO adorable! Since Thanksgiving, she had been getting sicker, and sicker. Finally, she was unable to "hold it in" and was making messes all over the house. My parents called me today, to let me know that they were going to "let Roxy go", so I went to their place, to spend time with her, before she "had to go." As usual, she greeted me with some barking and LOTS of kisses. My parents and I took her to the vets office, and were with her, until the very end. Roxy was a part of our family, and will be missed SO much! It's like a piece of our hearts is gone, and it hurts A LOT. Please keep our family in your prayers in the coming days, weeks, and months.Saturday, November 8, 2008

About a week ago, I applied for a 40 hour a week, sleepover position, with an elderly lady, out in Langley. I was just informed today, that I did not secure the position. There were six other applicants for this position. I was uneasy about the position for a few reasons, and God confirmed that I should not have this job. I'm totally ok with it. It would have meant A LOT more money for us financially, but after I went to the interview on Monday, I realized that the folks who posted the ad, were not completely honest in the ad. My first clue should have been, when the ad said she was in "South Aldergrove." Try, Langley! It's half way to White Rock, on Zero Ave.! That is NOT South Aldergrove! Anyhow, the job was not to be mine, and I am fine with it. I know God has something better for me. In the meantime, I will "work on things " at home, that need my attention.Posted by barb at 11:17 PM 0 comments

On MONDAY afternoon, I am heading out to a meeting that will decide a part of our future. If the meeting goes well, it will mean a lifestyle change for Pete and I, in a couple of different MAJOR ways. I am praying that the meeting goes well, because this change will be VERY positive for us. I am very nervous, but mostly excited. So please keep us in your prayers, as we only want a positive outcome IF it's God's will for us. More to come.............. :)
