Yesterday, Pete and I went to the Old Time Drags, in Mission. It was loud, and fun! We spent the entire time in the beer gardens, under the umbrella's.

The races were totally amazing!
Mandy and Hugh...couples that tattoo together, stay together?? LOL! They are an awesome couple.
Pete and Mat. I've known Mat since we were kids, and it's so awesome that Pete and Mat are friends...I'm friends with Mat's wife as well, and we all get together from time to time :)
Dave, Pete and Mat, all involved in a debate about some sort of car issue...LOL!
There were so many different kinds of cars racing yesterday.

Yesterday, one of my former group home clients, QB, passed away. QB was autistic, and very challenging to work with. Having said that, he could also have his moments of love, and come up to you and hug you. One of his "behaviours" was throwing dishes, any dishes, just to hear the sound of something breaking; it gave him much joy. I think one of my favorite memories of QB, was one night when I was working night shift. His room at the time, was on the second floor of the group home. He decided to (at 2am) NOT sleep, but rather, throw his clothes from that day, off the balcony. I can't remember who I was working with, but we asked him to please go outside, and pick up his clothes. So, not one to wear a robe or anything, he marched outside in the buff, and picked up his clothes. He thought this was so amusing, So, over the balcony the clothes kept going, and so did QB, in the buff, over and over again, to pick them up off the cement! LOL! I was informed on Wednesday, that QB was in the hospital, in a coma and that if I wanted to say good-bye, I should come right away to do so, since they were not giving him much time. I went around dinner time on Wednesday, and it was difficult to see him all hooked up to breathing equipment and such. He look very calm and peaceful, not the QB that I had known before. I held his hand and talked to him a bit. I told him that I was sorry for all the times that I had not been patient with him, and hoped he could somehow find it in his heart to forgive me. I have no idea if he actually heard me or not....I guess I'll find out when I get to Heaven. I'm looking forward to seeing him whole again :) Rest in peace, QB..........

PJ (Pete Junior) Parker, it is!!!! Pete and I picked this name together :) PJ FINALLY tuckered himself right out...LOL!! We are totally loving him and enjoying him! We're hoping tonight goes well ;) He has the cutest little cry...it breaks your heart :(

Meet Parker.....our new kitten! He is NOT short haired, like Pete wanted, BUT in my defense, Parker picked me, I didn't pick him...LOL! I opened the cage to look at a different cat, and Parker plunked himself on my lap and fell asleep! He is SUPER playful, so it was hard to take a still picture of him. He was born on my birthday, so that along with him falling asleep on my lap, pretty much sold me on him..LOL! He wont be so "fuzzy" all the time. As he grows and gets bigger, he'll lose some of his fuzz. Pete gets home from work in about 2 hours... I hope he loves Parker as much as I do :)

This is just a "this and that" type of post. First things first...we're taking Caramel back to the HS on Tuesday. It's just not working out with her. She bites us, scratches us, and hisses at us, every day. She mostly hides, and when she does come out, she cowers. We think that she must have seen her owner commit suicide, because she's definitely been traumatized. We're taking her back, and getting a kitten instead, that way we can train the kitten ourselves. Secondly, Pete's feeling pretty discouraged with work. They are giving him all sorts of mixed messages over there, and he comes home from work, discouraged and confused most days. Here's an example: someone traded in a motor home, for a car. When Pete started there, he was told that whomever sold the motor home, would get a $5000.00 commission on it. There were a few bites on it, and on Friday, a guy came in and wanted to buy it! Pete was the sales person who showed the RV to the customer, so, it was his deal. When everything was said and done, Pete's boss told him, he would be getting $2000-$2500 commission on it! That's a REALLY far cry from $5000.00. Then yesterday, some guy comes to the used lot to buy a used car. Pete spent over an hour with the guy, and then the guy decides he wants to buy a NEW car. So, Pete tells him that the customer will have to go up to the new lot, and that he can no longer help him, since new is a whole other department and Pete's not authorized to really be up there. So the guy goes to the new lot, but no one will help him, since they knew he had just come from used. So the customer comes back to used and tells Pete that no one in new, will help him. So Pete goes back up to the new lot with the customer and tries to get someone to help him, but no one would. Pete goes back to the used lot alone, and gets supreme sh*t from his boss for even going up to the new lot and for trying to help out this customer! ARGH! Pete works SO hard and is such a great salesman, and I feel so badly when he's treated like this. Well, this is turning into a novel, and I'm getting sleepy, so I think it's time to sign off. Thanks for reading, and have a great Monday :)
