Things here keep on moving. Pete has sold 6 cars in 7 days!!! He is SO happy at Honda Way! They are happy with him there as well :) I've been pretty sick with nausea, and the pain, from the new stage of my cancer. It's rather frustrating! Yesterday was the first full day of no pain and no nausea!!!! YAY! Pete has been amazing! He is the most supportive husband! It's coming up on four months, (May 4th) that we've been married. It's my birthday next Monday, and I am praying REALLY hard that I will not be sick on my birthday. I am however VERY thankful, to still be here :) Many good things are coming up in May, and I am looking forward to them, and also praying that I will be well enough to enjoy them. Well, it's been another busy week for the Stingl's. Well, for Pete, anyways. I have been sick from chemo all week, and Pete has been working. It started last Sunday, when I became really sick from my chemo, and slept all afternoon, after church. Pete went to the flea market and such, and let me rest. In the evening he decided to take me for a drive....to White Rock! My most favorite place EVER! We had ice cream and watched the sunset together...SO romantic! That's where the below picture was taken. I sure do love my man! The week went by pretty fast, before I knew it, it was Thursday, Pete's day off. We did a bit of antiquing, but I wasn't feeling so great, so we cut it a bit short. Pete is still LOVING his job and has sold 2 cars already, in just one week. His boss actually called him, on Pete's day off, to congratulate him on the great job he is doing! I met Pete's boss the other day, when he forgot his lunch, and I brought it to him. His boss is REALLY nice and said I could come and visit Pete at work, anytime. I won't abuse that, of course, because I don't want to be a distraction to Pete while he's at work.

This is Pete's current "summer car". A Malibu. He loves it, but has had his eye on
THIS car! A Maverick. He has wanted a Maverick, ever since we started dating last summer. So, he's put his Malibu up for sale for 16,995, and wants to buy this black Maverick. He has all sorts of ideas for this car, and it's exciting to hear him talk about it! With the money he makes from selling his Malibu, he'll have lots left over to do all sorts of cool stuff to the Maverick.
So, we're praying about it, and if God wants Pete to have the Maverick, then I'm sure He'll find a buyer for the Malibu :)

Just wanted to let you know that we are still here. It's been a busy week. New post coming shortly. Sorry,it's been almost a week :(

Yesterday, Pete and I had my parents over for dinner. The menu was: schnitzel, greek potato's, salad, peaches and cream corn, sparkling grape juice, and Resses cake for dessert.

The famous Stingl schnitzel. My husband's family is german, and this is ALWAYS the favorite dish! Pete is an awesome cook, and did a wonderful job on the schnitzel. That was a busy job for him, so I made everything else :)
Pete did a wonderful job setting the table. I am blessed to have a hubby who LOVES cleaning and housework, and also has a knack for detail.

One of the other big changes in our lives is a pretty major one! A couple of weeks ago, Pete parted ways with Fraser Way RV. He was not happy there, and they just didn't appreciate all the hard work he was doing. As of tomorrow, Pete will be the newest employee at The Honda Way! He was interviewed today and hired on the spot!!!! There are a lot of guys his age there, not like at FRV. Both places are in the AutoMall, but they are in opposite ends of the lot, thank goodness :) He is SO happy to be starting a new adventure with THW. I am SO happy for him!!! At THW, he will actually be getting an hourly wage PLUS commission on anything he sells!!!!! This is awesome news, and take a lot of stress off of Pete :)

A couple of post ago, I mentioned that there would be some major changes coming up in our lives. One of them, we were not too sure of, but after Pete's birthday on Friday, it was confirmed, and we decided to move forward with the change. We have been talking for a while about who our mutual friends together really are, you know, the people that actually call you, or invite you over, or accept invites to our place, you hang out with on a regular basis. We made a list of our friends, and realized that there are only TWO couples who we get together with on a regular basis who are not even in our "regular" circle of friends. It was one of these couples, who actually called Pete on his birthday, and invited us over for a bbq yesterday, to celebrate Pete's birthday. None of Pete's friends called him on Friday, despite me posting it on Facebook that it was his birthday. Pete has a car club group that he belongs to, and we have a group of friends we hang out with, but we have decided to drop them all, and put them into the acquaintance category. I had to do this with a group of my girlfriends, a couple of years ago. It's just a kind of de-cluttering, or spring cleaning of our lives. I only have a few close girlfriends, that I spend time with. I think it's good, every so often to re-evaluate or lives , and the people in them, to make sure you're all on the same page. We're not mad at anyone, or hate anyone that was in our now, former group of friends, we will most certainly see them from time to time, but we're going to focus more on the people who are able to give us time in their lives.

The Many Faces Of Taffy..............

So our blog is called Just The Two Of Us, but it should REALLY be Just The Three Of Us, since Taffy is a part of our lives. He was a stray that our friends asked us to take in, last October, so we were only going to keep him for about a week and try to find him a new home. Well, we fell in love with him, and well, he's pretty much our kid now :) He sleeps with us in the bed at night, at our feet, and when one of us are sick, he sticks to that person like glue, like he knows were sick. He is probably the fattest cat you'll meet, but also one of the most adorable cats you'll meet. People we have over who are NOT cat people, fall in love with him immediately! How could you NOT, with a face like this????
