Most people who know me, know that I am a very sensitive person. I am sensitive to the needs of others, to other's feelings, and often get my feelings hurt, because I am too trusting. But, to most of my friends, being sensitive, is why they like me. Recently, I have been too trusting of some people, and have had my feelings deeply hurt. For instance, if you are going to have a get together with "all of the friends" and I am NOT invited, and you don't want me to find out, then DON'T blog about it, when you know I read your blog! This just recently happened to me (AGAIN), and the "excuse" I was given for not being told about it/being invited, is because " I knew you were going to react this way whether I told you about the get together before or after it happened." Having said this, there is now a whole group of blogs, I will no longer be reading, because I figure, if I don't know what I'm NOT invited to, I won't get hurt anymore, and I've deleted these same people from my Facebook. You can't call me "friend", and then treat me this way. Pete's so right, blogging is like Facebook, it's "out there" for the world to see, and unless you have a private blog or have your settings on Facebook set to ultra private, you really have to be careful/sensitive to others.

On Monday, Pete was downsized from his job at The Honda Way. He is eligible for E.I. and after talking with the guy in charge of our benefit package, we are now covered til the end of the month. The economy has been SO bad, that people are just not buying vehicles. Pete LOVED his job there, and loves selling, but has decided to accept training, if E.I. offers it. He would like to get out of sales, but having said that, he would still like to open up another collectable's shop. We are praying and asking God with open hearts, to provide employment for Pete, WHEREVER He wants us to be. That could mean a move, or training for something TOTALLY different, but we are ready for whatever God has planned for us. It's kind of exciting (?) to see what will happen. We are also looking for a different church to attend, so this all might be part of God's big plan for us. Pete's brother Dave has mentioned a couple of employment opportunities for Pete, in Calgary, and my in-laws have mentioned some opportunities available in 100 Mile House. We're just keeping all of our options open right now, until God leads us to where He wants us to be. As you know, Pete is a VERY private person. I would appreciate if you would not say anything to him at this time, but let him bring it up. We ask that you pray along side of us, that God's will would be done. Thanks.

Due to some recent happenings, I have decided to make my blog private again.

Last year, I decided to filter thru my friends and decide which ones are actually friends, and which ones where really just acquaintances. Looks like it's time to do that again. A true friend will want to spend time with you, not make excuses why they can't. After just losing two good friends, to death, it has really made me aware of who my REAL friends actually are. This is all in keeping with my goal of trying to spend time with one girlfriend a week. So, if you don't hear from me, it's just that you have been put on the acquaintance list. I don't have a lot of energy, and the energy I DO have, is saved for friends who actually want to spend time with me. I'm not going to waste what little energy I have, trying to pin people down for coffee anymore.

BIG CHANGES!!!!!

This is Pete's current car: 75' Chevelle Malibu. He just sold it , and is getting this....

'70 Ford Grabber Maverick! This is his "dream car". It was the first car (not this exact one) that he ever owned. He has wanted a Maverick, ever since I have known him :)

Another BIG CHANGE, is that I am going back to work, part time. I have been offered work, doing respite care, for my friends' special needs foster son. He is 22, blind, hearing impaired, and is unable to speak. This would be occasional evenings and some weekends. I have also been offered a few care aide positions, that I am looking into. I am excited to be going back into the work force! It's nice to be needed, and the extra money, will really help out :)

Psalm 23 (The Message)
Psalm 23

God, my shepherd! I don't need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction. Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I'm not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure. You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I'm back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.
