I have been a bad blogger. I have not had a laptop since Christmas, so I'm sure people are giving up on my blog! LOL! Well, I'm back!!!! :) Well, winter came and went, spring and summer came and went, and now we are into fall. Couple things new with us: we are praying about moving..either to somewhere different in Abbotsford, or closer to Langley, so Pete's commute to the store is not so long. We would LOVE to live in the country off of Fraser Highway, maybe in a mobile home. Other than that, spring and summer were wonderful, especially summer, since my BF from high school, Lisa was home for the summer. We did lots of great things together! She is SUCH a blast!!! I've just started up a new ministry for women with cancer. There will be more about that on my cancer blog. Now that it's September, I am kind of in "nesting" mode. NO, I'm not pregnant, I just enjoy being at home making nice warm meals for us, cleaning, resting, enjoying the smells, and colors of this beautiful season. We are SO blessed to live where we do! We have beautiful mountains around us, beautiful yellow/orange/red leaves falling to the ground. I love going for walks in our neighborhood, and smelling all the wood stoves and fireplaces. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling, like a well worn sweater. You know the kind...it's all worn out, has holes, but you just can't throw it out. It's like an old friend. Things I am looking forward to this fall are, meeting my (hopefully new) sister in law Jen, at Thanksgiving, doing a cancer fundraiser for the new cancer treatment I am going on, spending quality time with friends and family. I will try to be better at posting more often, now that I have a new laptop. Our 4 Year Anniversary (Jan. 4th/2012)

I won't lie, the past four years have been a time of testing and learning, but thru it all, we've stuck together, and plan to stay together forever! :) Our love grows stronger EVERY day!

We are VERY excited that Pete's brother Dave, has moved back to Abbotsford. He'd been living in Calgary for the past 10 years, but given my in-laws increasing health problems, he's decided to move back here, closer to the rest of us. He lives an 8 minute drive, from us :) Pete is closest to this brother (he has 3), and they have been spending LOTS of time together since he moved back at the end of October :) I know that Pete REALLY missed Dave, when he lived in Calgary, and it's SO nice to see Pete SO happy. Dave of course is very happy to be back, and reconnecting with friends. Welcome back, Dave :)

We're happily living and loving our lives :) The store is doing well, our home life is doing awesome, the cats are great, and life is wonderful :)

Well, our store is officially open!!!! August 6th was our GRAND OPENING! It's almost been a month, and the store is doing GREAT!

Everything with the store, is moving forward. Papers have been signed, hands have been shaken, and the rest is all blood, sweat, and tears! LOL! The store is just off of Fraser Highway on the one way street in Langley. The address is 5496 Salt Lane. I was hoping to take before and after pictures, but our landlord already tore everything down from the piercing shop that was there before. I'll take before and after pictures of before the store is filled up and stuff. This is so exciting and scary! LOL! We are hoping to start moving in showcases etc. , next Monday!!!!! Opening day is set for Monday, August 1st. WOOHOO!!!!

Well, it's official!!! Pete is opening a store in Langley!!!! Pete has owned two other stores in the past. We've been praying about which direction God wants us to go, and it seems like this is the direction. It will be (as before), a collectible/vintage toys and games store. The store is on Salt Lane. It's a cute little lane, off of a one way street. The building was most recently a piercing place, and before that, it was a jewelry store. Pete will be working with one of his former partners. The store will be opening in August! Right now, shelving, display cases, and magazine racks are being purchased :) Pete and his partner have LOTS of store stock already, so all they really need is display cases etc. I am planning to take before and after pictures. I will be helping out in the store, so I'm pretty excited! So, that's our BIG news :)
