Today I turned 35!! WOW! Who would have thought, even 6 years ago, that I would make it to this "magical" number? :) My husband spoiled me ROTTEN for my birthday. For those of you not in the know, I LOVE anything to do with PIGLET from Winnie The Pooh, and have quite a collection going already. Pete has already gotten me many pieces for my collection, and my birthday was no different :) He bought me a PIGLET snowglobe, "letters" with PIGLET on them, Kinder surprise eggs that are Winnie The Pooh theme, and I was able to open 2 PIGLETS'! Pete also bought me The Lord Of The Rings trilogy box set, because we are both HUGE LOTR buffs, and he also bought me some beautiful heart/diamond earrings! My mom already phoned me this morning to wish me a happy birthday, and sang to me on the phone :) This afternoon, I am going out with one of my best girlfriends, Kirsten. Every year on our birthdays, Kirsten and I go to White Rock for fish and chips, just the two of us. This year, weather and healthwise permitting, we will be doing the same :) I am SO blessed to have such wonderful freinds and family in my life!

Yesterday, my parents had Pete and I, over for dinner. We decided to surprise my mom, and bring her 2 birthday balloons, and her gifts. Her birthday is really tomorrow, but we won't be seeing them, so we brought her some dark Purdy's chocolate, and a gift card from Claire's, so she can buy some new earrings.
Dinner was: steaks, my dad's special potato's, and salad.
Dessert was: chocolate covered strawberries that I made and brought along, and
rhubarb and apple platz that my mom made in the afternoon. It was still nice and warm...mmmm
After supper we decided to go sit out in the yard, since it was so sunny. It was chilly though, so that didn't last too long. Here our "master griller" aka dad, takes a break after making such awesome steaks!Posted by barb at 12:29 PM 3 comments

Things here keep on moving. Pete has sold 6 cars in 7 days!!! He is SO happy at Honda Way! They are happy with him there as well :) I've been pretty sick with nausea, and the pain, from the new stage of my cancer. It's rather frustrating! Yesterday was the first full day of no pain and no nausea!!!! YAY! Pete has been amazing! He is the most supportive husband! It's coming up on four months, (May 4th) that we've been married. It's my birthday next Monday, and I am praying REALLY hard that I will not be sick on my birthday. I am however VERY thankful, to still be here :) Many good things are coming up in May, and I am looking forward to them, and also praying that I will be well enough to enjoy them. Thanks for continuing to read our blog. I know I don't always update often, but I'm doing my best :)

Well, it's been another busy week for the Stingl's. Well, for Pete, anyways. I have been sick from chemo all week, and Pete has been working. It started last Sunday, when I became really sick from my chemo, and slept all afternoon, after church. Pete went to the flea market and such, and let me rest. In the evening he decided to take me for a drive....to White Rock! My most favorite place EVER! We had ice cream and watched the sunset together...SO romantic! That's where the below picture was taken. I sure do love my man! The week went by pretty fast, before I knew it, it was Thursday, Pete's day off. We did a bit of antiquing, but I wasn't feeling so great, so we cut it a bit short. Pete is still LOVING his job and has sold 2 cars already, in just one week. His boss actually called him, on Pete's day off, to congratulate him on the great job he is doing! I met Pete's boss the other day, when he forgot his lunch, and I brought it to him. His boss is REALLY nice and said I could come and visit Pete at work, anytime. I won't abuse that, of course, because I don't want to be a distraction to Pete while he's at work.
This is Pete's current "summer car". A Malibu. He loves it, but has had his eye on
THIS car! A Maverick. He has wanted a Maverick, ever since we started dating last summer. So, he's put his Malibu up for sale for 16,995, and wants to buy this black Maverick. He has all sorts of ideas for this car, and it's exciting to hear him talk about it! With the money he makes from selling his Malibu, he'll have lots left over to do all sorts of cool stuff to the Maverick.
So, we're praying about it, and if God wants Pete to have the Maverick, then I'm sure He'll find a buyer for the Malibu :)Posted by barb at 10:35 PM 1 comments

Yesterday, Pete and I had my parents over for dinner. The menu was: schnitzel, greek potato's, salad, peaches and cream corn, sparkling grape juice, and Resses cake for dessert.
The famous Stingl schnitzel. My husband's family is german, and this is ALWAYS the favorite dish! Pete is an awesome cook, and did a wonderful job on the schnitzel. That was a busy job for him, so I made everything else :)
Pete did a wonderful job setting the table. I am blessed to have a hubby who LOVES cleaning and housework, and also has a knack for detail.Posted by barb at 10:25 AM 2 comments

One of the other big changes in our lives is a pretty major one! A couple of weeks ago, Pete parted ways with Fraser Way RV. He was not happy there, and they just didn't appreciate all the hard work he was doing. As of tomorrow, Pete will be the newest employee at The Honda Way! He was interviewed today and hired on the spot!!!! There are a lot of guys his age there, not like at FRV. Both places are in the AutoMall, but they are in opposite ends of the lot, thank goodness :) He is SO happy to be starting a new adventure with THW. I am SO happy for him!!! At THW, he will actually be getting an hourly wage PLUS commission on anything he sells!!!!! This is awesome news, and take a lot of stress off of Pete :)Posted by barb at 6:36 PM 4 comments
