Well, last night was my first Interferon injection. I took all my pain and sleeping meds pre-injection, and then went for it. For the first half hour after the injection, Pete held me, because I was in a lot of pain, and was freezing cold...teeth chattering, body shaking, crying. Pete prayed for me while he held me, and talked to me about the ocean, and the beach, and warm sunny places. THEN, the hot flashes came. I became REALLY hot, and had to strip down and lay under the ceiling fan. I could NOT cool down. The drugs I took for pain and sleeping, kicked in almost right after that, and I fell asleep for the night, and woke up feeling tired, but awesome today! Praise The Lord! So in all, I only had bad side effect for a half an hour!!! I am hoping that this will be the case every week when I take my Interferon! That would be awesome. I'm pretty tired today, because of all the pain and sleeping meds I took, but I have NO pain or nausea!!!

My Interferon came today!!!!!! I've been waiting for it/dreading it, for a week already. So, here's the whole kit and the meds I'll be taking (well most of them anyways). A half hour before my Interferon (vial with red lid) injection, I will take TWO Extra Strength Tylenol. Then, right before my injection of Interferon, I will have an injection of Gravol (white and blue label) mixed with Sodium Chloride (if you don't mix the Gravol with this, the Gravol BURNS, going in). Along with the Gravol injection, I will have two morphine tablets. THEN, the Interferon. Quite a process, but, it's only once a week :) Any men, STOP READING, HERE: DO NOT SCROLL DOWN.

Kirsten and I were hanging out today, and while I was at London Drugs, buying injectable Gravol, I decided to treat myself to some sexy, lacy, underwear! I NEVER do this, but I figured I may as well feel sexy, while I am sick :) They were three pairs for $5! So I got six pairs! All different colors...YAY!

This past Sunday, I was really sick, but was wanting to get out of the house for a bit. Pete drugged me up and took me to Fort Langley for the afternoon, and I'm glad he did! We had LOTS of fun!

We found this little courtyard, with a bistro, where we ate some lunch. I have been to FL SO many times and we had NEVER seen this place before! It was awesome!
The courtyard
Happily drugged up...LOL!

Clearly the drugs were REALLY kicking in! LOL!!!!!!
Pete, showing me how I "looked" being drugged up! LOL!!!
Yes, another wonderful drugged up moment! LOL!
I was so pleased on this trip! I added a piece to my Piglet collection, and I got a wonderful gift for my sister, that I hope she'll love. It's something she collects:)

I ordered season 1 of Miami Vice for Pete, from Amazon.com Pete and I LOVE the old 80's shows. Watching MV reminds me of how awful the 80's hair, clothing, and dance moves were! LOL! We've been watching the dvd's and laughing our heads off at the lame synthesizer music, and tacky fight moves! LOL!!! Pete was also able to get the 1st season of McGyver, from a garage sale! Next up? I am hoping to buy Pete, the 1st season of Magnum P.I. What are your your favorite 80's shows?

Pete and I have been able to spend some amazing time together as a couple, the last few days, as we prepare for this new chapter in our lives. My dear friend (K), prayed a prayer for us yesterday, asking God to use this time in our lives to bring us closer as a couple, and He sure has! We laugh together, cry together, pray together...We would not be able to be going through all these crazy emotions, without God. I'm really not too sure how folks who are non-believers, do it. Pete and I are leaning on God, daily, actually, most times it's hourly. We are both nervous and scared, as well as uncertain, but we know that God never gives us more than we can handle. Pete does not show his emotions very often, and there are only a handful of times, that I have witnessed him being sad or scared, which leads me to....www.cancerhasitsprivileges.blogspot.com
